Shore Walk

Walking along the shore is a total forensic experience. Here's a horse skull among some rocks.

Somebody's been eating these sea urchins. We suspected birds, but our guide said that mammalian two-footers were probably responsible.

In this small circular rock garden, a plant flourishes.

This horse had a really bad day here. We don't do roadkill at Fourmilab, but naturally deceased animals in situ are of interest, so here's the kind of thing you'll see on open range where animals are rounded up only on a seasonal basis.
