Memory of the 1980–1988 war between Iran and Iraq remains strong in Iran, as does animosity toward Iraq and Saddam Hussein. Monuments and paintings commemorating the war and the casualties therefrom are a common sight. This mural is to the right of the entrance to the Bogh'é-yé Shah-é Cheragh (Mausoleum of the King of the Lamp) in Shiraz.
