The flight from Santiago to Punta Arenas passes some of the most magnificent scenery of any airline flight I have experienced. If the weather is good (which it was for us on this last day of 2012), the views are breathtaking. When you're flying south, try to get a window seat on the left side of the plane; when flying north from Punta Arenas to Santiago, a window seat on the right.
