Atomflot comes into sight. Our ship will dock between the two icebreakers and the aircraft carrier (about which more below).

Docked next to our ship was the Admiral Kuznetsov, a ski-jump aircraft carrier (or, in the Russian designation, a heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser). This ship was first named Tiblisi (Georgia on my mind!), and then the Leonid Brezhnev. Although docked at Atomflot, this is a conventional oil-burning ship.
