AMIX began pilot public operation on January 2, 1992,
and planned, after a market-building and software shakedown phase, an
official launch of the service in the fall of 1992. On August 21,
1992, Autodesk announced it was divesting AMIX (see page
).
Deprived of the
funds needed to roll-out the service, AMIX remains, at
this writing, an idea yet untested.
